Facial asymmetry WITHOUT defects » Face P11.3

Definition:

Facial asymmetry without underlying structural defects. An eye and the mouth corner of the affected side being pulled towards the non-affected one point out to a paralysis or paresis of the facial nerve.

Notes:

Often but not always it is due to birth trauma and in ICD10 it is coded as P11.3 not in chapter XVII.
