Talipes Talovalgus » Foot Q66.1

Definition:

Malposition of the foot with marked and permanent dorsiflexion that exaggerates the normal position of the foot of the newborn, and therefore difficult to define. When forcing passive reduction a pterygium or cord taut skin is observed on the back foot at the ankle, , indicating that dorsiflexion of the foot is not just a transitional position, but that it has an underlying anatomical anomaly.
