Definition:

Aplasia cutis vertex
Scalp in the parietal-occipital (posterior fontanel) without hair or with various degrees of cutaneous or subcutaneous defects, but with cranial bone integrity.
White Forelock
Hypopigmentation of the superior frontal scalp and the implanted hair.

Notes:

Aplasia cutis vertex can be confused with localized alopecia See [Q84.0].
